Our History

Jennifer Geier is the CEO and creator of JammaCaps. The idea was inspired when Jennifer was an occasional skiier in her 20's and needed a hat that would double as a facemask. With a little fleece, and heavy inspiration from the movie "A Christmas Story", the first JammaCap was born (pictured to the left) . Later in her 30's, her then eight-year-old son came across the old hat in the closet. He asked to wear it to school and within the week, many of his friends were asking for hats just like it. This motivated Jennifer to begin selling the handmade, unique hats at craft fairs. JammaCaps have been selling at Louisville craft fairs for over 10 years.

The new Beanie has been an idea brewing since JammaCaps were first founded. In 2018, Jennifer launched that idea into a reality.

“My dream is to create a stronger community by helping those in need. By giving JammaCaps to the local children’s charity, it’s important to me that this company gives to the greater good. My goal is to see a JammaCap on every member of the family because I know how many people it would help.” - Jennifer Geier, CEO and Founder
